PAKULALA FAFARI CAMP
Pakulala is the most exciting camp to hit Tanzania for years – we have been waiting for this, a luxury tented camp on the Crater rim itself with views of the Crater. The camp is elegant, understated and modern. The camp is very laid back and the campfire every evening is a wonderful place to discuss what you’ve seen that day. The Masai play an important role here too and it is fantastic to meet them and have a very authentic cultural experience.
LEMALA NGORONGORO TENTED CAMP
Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp is an intimate camp set in a delightful ancient acacia forest on the rim of the crater, next to the quiet Lemala access route. The camp has 9 spacious canvas tents to ensure intimacy and minimal impact on the pristine forest environment. The tents accommodate two queen beds with winter weight duvets and hot water bottles. The tents are warmed in the evenings by a gas heater, ensuring a cosy night's sleep. The roomy en-suite bathrooms contain a dressing area, flush toilet and a large safari shower.
The mess tent is beautifully furnished with grand sofas, lamps, bookshelves and corner cabinets in old wood, chests and rugs. In the evening, guests gather around the campfire to exchange tales of the day's safari followed by a sumptuous hearty meal.
CRATER FOREST TENTED CAMP
Crater Forest is a small tented camp located on a highland coffee plantation at an altitude of 1800 m, directly bordering the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area (NCAA). The camp is a 10 kilometer drive away from the main road leading from Karatu town to the famous Ngorongoro Crater, offering you some nice views of the surrounding hills and coffee plantations.
Crater Forest Tented Camp is operated as a small scale eco-friendly camp with only 15 spacious tented rooms, with en-suite bathrooms with a hot shower and flush toilet. There is even an African-style fire pot in every room, to keep warm at night during the chilly African winter times. The rooms are all set on highly raised platforms offering some magnificent views over the Ngorongoro Forest. From your veranda you can enjoy romantic sundowners or watch wildlife, like elephants, roaming through the dense forest, and hear the lions roar.
ANG'ATA TENTED
Open since December 2012, Ang'ata Ngorongoro is open all year around.
The camp is situated right after Lemala Gate, inside the Craters boundaries on the Lemala descent road, currently also being used as ascent road, ideally situated for early morning game drives into the Crater. After your game drive you may return to camp for a delicious lunch prepared by their chefs, then a lounge adjacent to the Mess tent awaits you for your afternoon relaxation and a cup of Tea in the shadow of the acacia forest.
EXPLOREAN TENTED
Set in 50 acres of virgin Tanzanian bush in the Ngorongoro volcanic landscape, this all suites wood log cabin style retreat is located a few steps from the Game Reserve Gate and 20 minutes drive away from the Ngorongoro Crater that is said to have the most dense concentration of wildlife in Africa.

SIMBA CAMPSITE
Simba is a campsite located just on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. It has a beautiful tree in a very nice landscape. It is common for elephants to visit the campsite to drink water from the water reservatories. The campsite has modern toilet and shower facilities, covered area for breakfast and dinner and rangers patrolling the park 24 hours per day.
